It connects to the Elite Dangerous Data Network (EDDN) a real-time stream of in-game events uploaded by players and filters that firehose down to what's relevant for each squadron's specific faction and star systems. What it does:
- Live BGS tracking: monitors mission completions, bounty redemptions, combat bonds, trade, exploration, and other influence-affecting activities across your faction's systems in real time.
- PowerPlay intelligence: detects PP anomalies, tracks system fortification/undermining state, and infers which CMDRs are pledged to which powers using a hash correlator that maps anonymous data back to CMDR EDDN hashes and displays what systems they have travled and what power they are aligned to.
- CMDR contribution tracking: logs which pilots are doing work and what kind, giving squadron leaders visibility into member activity.
- Multi-tenant architecture: each squadron gets its own isolated instance with its own faction filter, data store, and dashboard, all running off the same server.
- Discord integration: broadcasts alerts and activity updates directly to squadron Discord servers. - CAPI & Inara integration: enriches data using Frontier's Companion API and Inara.cz for additional CMDR and fleet carrier context.
In short: ETN is a real-time operations dashboard that turns the raw EDDN data stream into actionable intelligence for Elite Dangerous squadrons managing their faction's influence and PowerPlay standing.
